Many opinions and suggestions were made by the panelists, moderated by Kay Maxwell, former National League Board President. Some of these included, additional tree pruning needed around utility wires, additional burying of utility wires, and more support from local tree wardens. It was also stated that local governments and utilities need to better coordinate their efforts just after storms, and the state’s regulators could keep a better eye on utilities’ policies on preparing for storms
