May 5, 2019 Tree Walk at the Montgomery Pinetum 3-5pm
Seeing the Forest for the Trees
Forests are so much more than a collection of trees. Join Denise Savageau and Michael Aurelia as they explore the forest ecosystem at the Montgomery Pinetum. Spring is a time of enchantment in the forest filled with the subtle colors of new leaves and the songs of birds We will explore how the physical and biological components of the forest work together on the landscape to form a variety of habitat types, and learn about the many eco-system services provided by our community forest.
Please wear sturdy shoes for hiking on trails. Binoculars and/or cameras optional.
